Make Virtual Private Network (VPN) work on Windows 7

I had to set up vpn on widows 7 and although the vpn client said that I am conected to the server I still didn’t have access to it. This is what I did to make it work:

- Click “Start”

- Type: “Local Security Policy”

- In Local Security Policy: Click “Local Policies”

- Select “Security Options”

- Open “Network security: Lan Manager authentication level”

- Select “Send LM & NTLM – use NTLMv2 sessions security if negotiated”
